Dana J. Blank, 44, of Brick, passed away suddenly on June 20, 2017. Born in Neptune, Dana was raised in Brick before moving to the Pacific Northwest where was lived until returning to NJ in 2016.
Dana loved nature and was happiest when outdoors, especially with her family. She was a dance enthusiast and most recently taught at Fred Astaire School of Dance. She will be greatly missed.
Dana leaves her two sons - Emmett Blank of Port Townsend, WA, and Odin Wilson of Brick; mother Barbara Blank of Wall; father Gary Blank & wife Katie of Allenwood; sister Amanda Rothstein & husband Justin of Lake Tahoe, CA; maternal grandparents Edward & Jean Johnson of Wall; Paternal grandmother Dorothy Blank of Allenwood; and many loving relatives and friends.
Memorial Visitation at O'Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall, on Saturday from 1-2:30pm, concluding with a prayer service at 2:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations an education fund for Dana's son Odin, care of Barbara Blank, can be mailed to 138 Valencia Dr. Brick, NJ 08723.

I only recently became aware of Dana's passing. I am saddened to hear of this unforeseen tragedy and offer my sincere condolences. Many who knew her will always hold dear her sparkling eyes, laughter and wit, her creativity. My heart goes out to all who were touched by her "joie de vivre."

Getting to know Dana was one of the most delightful blessings of living on the Oregon Coast and her loss is a terrible shock. Her loved ones and her spirit are in my prayers.

I was so shocked when I saw this today. Although I haven't seen her in years I often thought about her. I remember all the summers on the beach and hanging out on the weekends. She always had a smile. I was surprised to run into her in Maplewood when I moved back that way. That was the last time I saw her. If there's anything I can do for you guys please let me know.
