Dorothy Hallam Wilson
Highlands - Dorothy Hallam Wilson, 89, died peacefully at Southern Ocean County Hospital on Wednesday, Jan. 17th after a brief illness. Dot was born and raised in Rumson before moving to Highlands many years ago She is preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Agnes Hallam of Rumson and her beloved husband the former mayor of Highland Robert D. Wilson Sr.. She is survived by her four children Robert D. Wilson Jr., Linda O'Rourke, Dorothy Sweerus and husband William, Paul Wilson and wife Cherryl. Her grandchildren, Vicky Kratsch and husband John, Lori Wilson, Jennifer Boylan. Jessica Wilson, Maggie Sprague and husband Dave, Becky Dixon and husband Todd, Anna Wilson, Amy Murray and husband Travis, Kelly Snider and Husband J.R. Katie Wilson, R.J.Wilson, Austin Sweerus and wife Chelsea. Twenty three great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. A brother Ernest Hallam and wife Nancy and a sister Grace Long.
The funeral will be held 10:00am on Monday, January 22 at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Church, Highlands. The burial will follow the mass at Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 801 Broad St. Shrewsbury, N.J, 07702 or St Jude Place, Memphis TN.38105
