George W. O'Malley, 90, of the Silver Ridge Park North section of Berkeley Township, died Monday, April 29, 2013, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Scranton, PA, he lived in Linden, NJ before moving to Silver Ridge Park North in 1999. Mr. O'Malley served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a truck driver with Magnus Chemical Company for many years, retiring in 1986, and then worked as a mechanic for the City of Linden. He was a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church, Berkeley Twsp., where he served as an usher, and a member of Silver Ridge Park North Men's Club.

Predeceased by his wife, Joan (Kirsten) in September of 2012. Surviving is his three children, Thomas and his wife Maureen of Palm Coast, FL, Paul and his wife Lori of Burlington, NJ and Debbie Evaristo and her husband Tony of Marlboro, NJ; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. & 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2013 at St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church, Berkeley Twsp. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. to New Jersey Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN, 38105.
