Harry Charles Drake

Harry Charles Drake, 97 years old of Wall, NJ, died Sunday, October 22, 2017 peacefully at home.
Harry was born in Belleville, NJ to Charles and Henrietta Drake. He was a member of the US Army as a First Lieutenant serving during WWII, receiving two Purple Hearts. After leaving the service Harry was a self-employed plumber/carpenter building several homes in the Wall Township area. Harry found enjoyment in traveling and camping, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
His wife, Shirley, and son, Stephen Drake, predeceased him.
He is survived by a grandson, Adam Drake, and his wife, Crystal, of North Carolina. A granddaughter, Janel Drake, and husband, Paul Gaskill, also of North Carolina. He also leaves 4 great-grandchildren, Dylan, Karsyn, Harry, and Meredith.
Interment private. Johnson-McGinley Funeral Home, 2652 Highway 138, Wall, NJ is in charge of the arrangements.

My Uncle who I dearly loved. I pray your at peace and now with Aunt Shirley. All of the Sundays we visited you or you both came to see us will always be a cherished memory. I am heartbroken as I was when Aunt Shirley died.Love and many prayers-Your niece Cindy.
