Henry L Criswell
AGE: 76 • West Covina, California
After a long, hard battle, Henry L. Criswell, succumbed to esophagus cancer on September 13, 2013, at the age of 76. He was attended by his stepson, Ronald Williams, his sisters-in-law, Vivian Douglas and Gloria Myklebust, and friend and neighbor, Sheryl Suttle. Hank resided with his (deceased) long-time companion and wife, Mattie "Pat" Williams, in Plainfield, NJ, Hollywood, Los Angeles and lastly West Covina, California.
The Criswell family relocated to Plainfield, New Jersey from Fountain Inn, South Carolina in the early 1950s. Hank was a Master Mechanic during his service in the U.S. Army and until he left this Earth. "Hank", to many of his friends, was born on May 4, 1937, in Fountain Inn, South Carolina, the oldest son of Druesilla and Hugh L. Criswell, Sr., and brother, Eugene, all deceased. He is survived by his stepson, Ronald Williams of Santa Monica, California; sister, Annie Watson and brother-in-law, Ike, residing in Mauldin, South Carolina; and brother, Hugh L. Criswell, Jr. and sister-in-law, Remona, residents of Allentown, Pennsylvania. Uncle Henry leaves a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews and friends on both coasts.
There will be a private family prior to Spreading Henry's Ashes to mingle with Pat's in the Pacific Ocean, off the coast of Kona, Hawaii. The family is grateful for your prayers, sympathy, and condolences. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite Cancer Society in Henry's name.

Wow! I didn't know my Uncle was sick. I am glad that I had the opportunity to spend time with him prior to my father passing. he made me laugh and man could he cook. lol. I love you Uncle Henry and I will miss you. You and Aunt Pat are together again for eternity. Please don't drive one another crazy. Prayers and blessings to our family in this time. Love you all.
