James E. Gannon, 81, of Red Bank passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the Bayside Manor Assisted Living in Keansburg. He was born in Providence, RI and lived in Teaneck, Ringwood and Bayonne before moving to Red Bank in 1994. James served our country in the US Army during the Korean War. James retired after many years of service for the Jersey City Board of Education. He also was a singer/entertainer in the original cast of Music Man and Camelot.

He was predeceased by his parents, James E. and Alice (Mulvey) Gannon. James is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jacqueline (Dursin) Gannon; five children, Susan Stewart of Greenwood Lake, Jay Gannon and his wife Yolanda of Alta Springs FL, Danny Gannon and his wife Sandra of Hartford, WI, Mary Jennings and her husband Roy of Middletown and Tish Mancilla and her husband Manny of Tinton Falls; twelve grandchildren, Jesse, Rory, Kyle, Brett, James, John, T.J., Megan, Amanda, Matt, Roy and Jackie and two great grandchildren, Shamus and Danika.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 29, 2013 at the John E Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank from 2 pm - 4 pm and 6 pm - 8 pm.
