Johann "John" S. Graf of Boonton NJ, formerly of Toms River and Paramus, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the age of 85. John was born March 9, 1932 in Nürnberg, Germany. He immigrated to America in 1952 and served two years in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Käthe "Kathy" Buck on May 4, 1957. John co-founded Graf & Lorch Woodworking, in Waldwick NJ. An old-school craftsman, John built his business on hard work, skill and discipline. John was predeceased by son, Michael, and survived by wife, Käthe; two sons, Karl and Richard; daughter-in-law, Jeannine; four cherished grandchildren: Kristen, John, Christine and Richard; and a sister, Marga Malterer of Nürnberg. A memorial service for family is scheduled for 11am on Saturday, May 6 at Victoria Mews in Boonton NJ. Donations may be made to the Villa Marie Claire Hospice Residence (www.villamar ieclaire.org).
