Kenneth E. Bell, 89, of Toms River, after a life well lived, peacefully passed away on Wednesday evening, Jan. 29, 2014 after a brief illness. Born and raised in Nutley, and Lake Mohawk, he later lived in West Orange before retiring to Silver Ridge in Toms River in 1981. He was honored for his service in WWII and worked as an electrical draftsman for Westinghouse for 40 years.

He was pre-deceased by his devoted wife, Wee Wee (Ann Rappaport) in 1996 and his nieces, Nancy Oldfield Valvano and Patricia Degnan. He is survived by his friend and sister-in-law, Dorothy Oldfield; his niece, Kathryn Oldfield, her partner Karin Nieuwenhuis and their children, Tess & Tim; great nieces, Brienne and Alicia Valvano and great-great nephews, Tyler and Alex; nephews, Steven Degnan, John, Edward and Charles Rappaport.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Lake Mohawk Country Club in Sparta on Sunday, February 2nd from 1:30 - 3:30pm with service at 2pm. The burial with Military Honors will take place on Monday, February 3rd at 2pm at the VA Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
