Madeline A. (Strang) Slocum, 64, of Jackson, passed away, Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Sunrise of Jackson Assisted Living. She was born in Red Bank to the late William F. Strang, Sr. and Doris (Ader) Strang, and raised in Keyport. Later on she lived in Freehold, and most recently, Jackson. She worked as an office manager with Dr. Samuel, Ocean.

Madeline also was predeceased by her grandparents, George Ader and Margaret (Maloney) Ader; and Adiel "Mitzie" Strang and Madeline (Sullivan) Strang. She is survived by her beloved husband, Daniel A. Slocum, Sr. of Jackson; her loving children, Daniel Slocum, Jr. of San Jose, CA; Matthew Slocum and his wife Cheryl of Seattle, WA; and Katie Rosseel and her husband Michael of Freehold; a dear sister, Linda Strang of Keyport; and two dear brothers, William F. Strang, Jr. of Aberdeen and George Strang of Keyport; two cherished grandchildren, Owen and Dylan; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited Friday, March 28, 2014, from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735, with a 3:50PM service at the funeral home.
