Raymond W. Brown Sr.

Raymond W. Brown, Sr. passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 84 years old. Born in Burlington, he resided in Woodbridge for the past 81 years.

Mr. Brown was employed in operations with PSE&G at their Kearny and Sewaren generating stations for over 40 years before retiring in 1993. He was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge; and an active participant with the American Racing Drivers Club. He will be missed greatly by his many friends in the pit crews. Mr. Brown was a United States Army veteran, serving as a First Lieutenant during the Korean War.

He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Ann Parsler Brown in October of 2012; his parents, Wade and Leisel Kaff Brown; and two brothers, Walter and Donald Brown. Surviving are his son, Raymond W. Brown, Jr. and his wife, Teresa, of Wallkill, NY; two grandchildren, Raymond T. Brown and Frances Brown; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will take place on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Monday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (www.costello-greiner.com) 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge.
