Robert Charles Schell, 90, died Sunday, December 2, 2012, at Somerset Valley Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Bridgewater. Born July 31, 1922, in Nuremberg, PA, he was the son of Charles W. and Sarah Felter Schell. He was a US Army veteran of World War II. He had resided in South Bound Brook for many years before moving to North Plainfield in 1978. Mr. Schell worked as a truck driver for American Cyanamid Co., Bound Brook, for over 30 years, retiring in 1984. He was Past President of the North Plainfield Senior Citizens Club. He was a member of Stevenson - D'Alessio Post No. 12, American Legion, Somerville, and the Old Guard, Plainfield. A talented mechanic, he enjoyed working on and collecting automobiles.

Mr. Schell was predeceased by his first wife, Doris Noggle Schell, who died in 1972, his second wife, Theresa Loccasiano Schell, who died in 2004, and his sister, Helen Boehmer. He is survived by his daughter, Marion E. Schell of South Bound Brook; his sister, Florence Lorraine Gonda of South Bound Brook, his brother, Alfred Walton of Northampton, PA; his devoted caregiver, Gina Giorgandze, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 5, at Hagan - Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook, with a funeral service at 8:00 P.M., during the course of the visitation, with Rev. Martin Winters, Pastor of the Reformed Church of Bound Brook, officiating. Cremation will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Reformed Church of Bound Brook, South Bound Brook, NJ 08880.
