Carly Fetzer Obituary
Bayville - Carly Fetzer, 18, of Bayville , NJ, earned her angel wings on April 26, at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Carly lived her entire life in Bayville, where she attended H&M Potter School and Berkeley Township Elementary School. Carly is a 2018 graduate of Central Regional High School. Her time spent in school was always highlighted by the unwavering support of the students and staff members. Everyone welcomed Carly with open arms at every school she attended. The outpouring of love from our community has been both humbling and comforting. No words could ever truly express how heartwarming it was to know that we were not on this journey alone. Carly took great pride in being the Special Needs Ambassador at the Bayville Elks Lodge, from 2015 to the present. Carly brought joy and love to anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. Her spunky personality, smile and sheer will to bounce back, time after time, will never be forgotten. Carly was happiest when she was surrounded by those she loved. Talking on the phone, attending her twin sister Ryanne's softball games, and vacationing in Myrtle Beach, SC, were among some of her favorite past times. Carly and Grandma could never go a day without seeing each other or talking multiple times on the phone. Grandma left us eighteen days ago to greet you and take care of you for eternity.
Carly was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Robert & Roseanne Fetzer and her maternal grandparents, Richard & Marie Gogger.
Surviving are her loving parents, Robert & Claudine Fetzer and her twin sister, Ryanne Fetzer, all of Bayville. Her aunts Michele Gogger of Forked River and Kim Fetzer of Barnegat.
Loving cousins Jeffrey & Kaylee Pereira of Barnegat and Christopher Gogger of Forked River.
Great Aunt & Uncle, Frank & Linda Casciano of Forked River as well as many supportive friends.
In lieu of flowers donations in Carly's memory can be made to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia/Give the Gift of Childhood found at the following website...give.chop.edu. We would appreciate donations using the option designating "Research".
We are asking everyone to wear red or their "Team Carly" shirt to the viewing at Riggs Funeral Home, 130 North Rt. 9 (aka Main Street) Forked River on Wednesday May 1, 2019 from 1-3pm and 6-9pm and on Thursday from 9:30 until 10:00 am. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, at St. Barnabas RC Church, 33 Woodland Road, Bayville at 11:00 am entombment to follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.

I remember the first time I met Carly. She was so beautiful and I will never forget her smile. Her smile was so amazing. I was shy at first and I said lightly said hi and Carly made me feel so special by giving me the biggest hug with the most amazing smile on her face. She was so beautiful and pretty. Heaven as truly gained the most beautiful angle of all time. Carly you will forever be loved and missed. You will never be forgotten. Heaven is very lucky they got you. The truly did gain the most amazing person at 4:30 pm. Everyone says that nobody is perfect but, truly Carly really was perfect and nobody can deny that. She made everyone smile, and her smile could lighten up a room even if it wasn't so bright. Carly you will forever be missed and never forgotten I love you.

From the bottom of our heartsso much love coming your way. We never met Carly but through Christmas cards, online email Heart Parent groups and Facebook, we walked, virtually, hand in hand through the same surgeries and milestones. I loved seeing Carly's face in photos, and hearing about all of her successes. To see all the people that Carly touched in her short life is so beautiful. I pray nothing but God's peace that surpasses understanding while you find your new normal. Rest In Peace, sweet Carly.

Many of us never actually met your sweet Carly. We learned of her and followed her life and the lives of her parents and twin sister through the Believe 4 Carly FB page which her Mom and family took great care to keep updated through the ups and downs of Carly's journey. You didn't have to know Carly or her family personally to learn the great lesson that they have all taught us! No one has ever put greater meaning to the saying "DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF" the way in which Carly did! Through every procedure, through many trips to CHOP, and through everything she faced in life, her beautiful smile always remained! Her positive attitude and zest for life were unwavering! The sad recent passing of her beloved grandmother serves as a reminder that God's timing and plan, (although quite often not what we expect or want), are absolutely PERFECT! In her passing, she reassured your family that she would be paving the way for Carly's journey home to our Lord! We will NEVER forget Carly! We will never forget the gift that she and your family have given to us all! I pray that your strong faith and trust in our Lord help to ease your pain now and in the coming weeks and months! Thank you for so unselfishly taking the time to introduce us to and allow us to follow the journey of your beautiful Carly and your family! Carly truly lived her best life and enjoyed every single day of her 18 years. Although she gained her angel wings far too soon, her beautiful, infectious smile and her zest for life impacted thousands of people! I pray that God's love and His promises will help to comfort your family. I pray that you will all feel His arms wrapped around you! I am a substitute at Central Regional MS/HS. Years ago as a new substitute paraprofessional I was nervous to be called to work in Mrs. Johnston's class. Carly greeted me with a hug and a smile & I was never nervous about being in that class again. I am so sorry for your loss. Carly was a bright light to the world & will be a perfect angel to watch over all of the people she loves.

Carly was a beautiful soul, I remember her at one of the many parties for Christmas wanting Elliott with her and her and stroking his face, which he loved. Also her visits with her Dad on the golf cart, always getting off to give hugs ❤
