Rita Murphy Obituary
Spring Lake Heights - Rita Murphy, 57, passed away May 24, 2018 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. Ms. Murphy was born in Staten Island, NY, raised in Old Bridge and was a graduate of Manalapan High School before settling in Spring Lake Heights. Rita is a graduate of The Barbizon Fashion School of Wall, NJ. She was the owner/operator of a jewelry manufacturing company and worked for Bayhead Marine for many years as an office manager. Ms. Murphy was an avid boater and crafter. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend and will be greatly missed by all.
Ms. Murphy is predeceased by her mother, Marie and sister, Joan Murphy.
Rita is survived by her husband, Robert, step daughter, Heather Kalman, parents David and Patricia Murphy, brother, James Murphy and his girlfriend Sandra, sister, Margaret Murphy and her husband Lawrence, nieces, Taylor and Lisa, nephews, Nathan and Jordan and beloved mini dachshunds, Emma and Zoey.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 28, 2018 from 6-9PM at the D'Elia Funeral Home 1300 Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 10:30AM at the St. Mary of the Lake Church, Lakewood. Interment will take place at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery in Lakewood, NJ.
Donations can be made in Rita's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
