Thomas S. Mancuso

AGE: 86 • Berkeley Twp.

Thomas S. Mancuso, age 86, of Silver Ridge Park, Berkeley Twp, formerly of Bloomfield, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013. He was a N.J. Licensed Master Plumber. Prior to starting his own business in 1963 he was employed by Mooney Brothers, East Orange and J. J. Kaveny, Montclair. Mr. Mancuso was a World War II Veteran serving in the Army and a former member of the Bloomfield Elks. He enjoyed gardening and refinishing furniture and was always willing to help others.

He was predeceased by his parents, Giuseppe and Carmela and his brother, Anthony. Surviving is his devoted wife of 62 years, Virginia; daughters, Dr. Ann Mancuso and Carol Ann Mayer and his son-in-law, Noel Mayer; grandchildren, Jonathan Mayer, Lauren Mayer, Melissa Mayer and Stephanie Mayer; his sisters, Josephine Gaccione and her husband Louis, Mary Lanzara and her husband Augie; his Godson, Joseph Mancuso and several nieces and nephews. His family would like to thank Vitas Hospice, Bayada Nursing, Young at Heart and the first aid squad for their excellent care, as well as the personal aides that provided him with loving and compassionate care in the comfort of his home.

Visiting will be Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River. A funeral service will be held Friday 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
