AGE: 92 • Manchester

Alfred E. Forcino, 92, of Manchester, passed away on January 9, 2017.

Mr. Forcino was born and raised in the Bronx. After serving in the Army during WWII, he moved to NJ where he lived in West New York and Fort Lee before moving to Manchester 20 years ago. He had a distinguished career in commercial construction in New York, working as a union carpenter, foreman, and superintendent on jobs that included the Pan-Am Building and Madison Square Garden. Mr. Forcino was an avid gardener who enjoyed growing tomatoes. He also enjoyed playing poker and going to Monmouth Park and Saratoga Race Course.

Mr. Forcino was predeceased by his beloved wife Genevieve (Scheri) in 2003. He was also predeceased by his siblings Phil, Frank, and Antoinette. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Elaine and Steve Krameisen of Spring Lake and his daughter Laura Van Riper of Old Tappan. He is also survived by his grandchildren Michelle Krameisen, Dana Angelino, Sean Davies, and Dustin Van Riper, as well as by his great-grandchildren Nicolas and Giovanni.

Visitation will take place at O'Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Route 35, Wall, on Thursday, January 12, 2017, from 4 - 8 PM. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catharine's Church, Spring Lake, on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 10:30 AM. Burial will take place at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, Friday, at 2 PM.
