AGE: 96 • Toms River

Angelina (Altomare) Gadaleta, 96, of Toms River, N.J. passed peacefully on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Brandywine Senior Living, Toms River. Born in Molfetta, Italy, she emigrated to Hoboken, N.J. when she was 16. Angie married her husband Bartolomeo "Bob" Gadaleta in 1947. They raised their family in Hoboken as well as Union City and Hasbrouck Heights; then retiring to Toms River. She enjoyed her winters for many years in Hallandale, FL and traveling with her beloved Bob; including returning to Molfetta several times. Angie loved being with her family and enjoyed all of the Italian family traditions. Her last 5 wonderful years were spent at Brandywine Senior Living in Toms River.

Angelina is predeceased by husband of 55 years, Bartolomeo "Bob" Gadaleta. She is survived by daughter Lucretia Malone and Michael Malone, son Leonard and wife Karen , Anthony and wife Lisa, and Joseph and wife Manolita. Angelina was adoring "Nonni" to her grandchildren Jennifer and Johan Gyllenspetz, Michael and Nicole Malone, Lisa and John Bihuniak, Bobby and Brandi Gadaleta, Kevin Malone, Elizabeth Gadaleta, and Amanda Gadaleta; and her great-grandchildren Sebastian, Violet and Leonard James.

Family and friends are invited to viewing on Wednesday, January 18 from 4-8 pm at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 19 at 9:15 at St Luke's RC Church, Old Freehold Rd, Toms River, followed by burial at 11:30am at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
