Ann G. Mulcahy Obituary
Ann G. Mulcahy

Oakhurst - Ann G. Mulcahy of Oakhurst, NJ passed from this world into the loving hands of God on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, after a brief illness. She was 95. Ann was a faithful and life-long Catholic and a member of St. Jerome's Church in West Long Branch, NJ.

Born September 3, 1922, in New York City, Ann was raised in Rockaway Beach, NY. She married the love of her life, Edward V. Mulcahy, in 1946.

Ann and Edward began their family in Seaford, NY and then moved permanently to Oakhurst, NJ in 1967. After Edward's death in 1970, Ann raised their 4 children — on her own — while working full time as a hostess for Perkins Restaurant in Neptune, NJ. This was but one of Ann's incredible achievements. In 2015, at the young age of 93, Ann retired from Perkins after 33 years welcoming and becoming friends with their patrons.

Ann loved Christmas and had just celebrated with her family of four generations. She is survived by 4 children, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Sons: Jerry (Kathryn) Mulcahy of Scottsdale, AZ, and Don (Maria) Mulcahy of Ripon, CA. Daughters: Patricia (John) Duffy of Oakhurst, NJ and Marie (John) Vitale of Oradell, NJ. Grandchildren: Meghan (Joseph) Youngs, Kaitlin (Orlando) Perez, Morgan Duffy and Madison Vitale. Great Grandchildren: Parker and Makayla Youngs. Granddaughter, Diana (Bruce) Craig and great granddaughters, Emma and Julia. Grandson, James Vitale and great grandson Max.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 7, from 4-7 pm at the Buckley Funeral Home, 509 Second Ave, Asbury Park, NJ 07712. Mass will be celebrated Monday, January 8 at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Church, 46 Richmond Ave, Deal, NJ 07723. Interment to follow at St. Catharine Cemetery, 1100 W Chicago Blvd, Sea Girt, NJ 08750.
