Anne H Rothein, 83 of Lakewood NJ passed away peacefully at Toms River Community Memorial Hospital on January 6, 2017. Viewing at Gray Memorial Funeral Home Cranford NJ on Wednesday January 11, 2017 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Interment immediately following at Evergreen Cemetery Hillside NJ. Born in South Amboy NJ, January 4, 1934 to Edna and William Horley. Anne lived in Perth Amboy and graduated from Perth Amboy High School. She married Russell Gilbert Rothlein February 5, 1955. She lived in Cranford NJ for 55 years on Elm Street where she raised her 3 children Deborah, Craig and Mark after her husband passed away in September 1972.

Anne enjoyed sailing at Keyport Yacht Club, genealogy, being part of the Perth Amboy high school reunion committee, working on the election board and volunteering at Kearny Cottage Historic Museum in Perth Amboy NJ, art and crafts, and parties with the Indian guide families over the years.

She had a very special relationship with her grandchildren, Kathryn Cline & husband Pat, Lauren Solon deCastro & husband Thomaz, Samantha Calderon & husband Melbin and Matthew Rothlein & wife Laura as well as her 3 great grandchildren Jacob Cline, Alice Cline and Ella Calderon and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her husband Russell Gilbert (Gil) Rothlein, sons Jeffrey, Nelson and Mark. She is survived by her daughter Deborah Bonney and husband Alton of Elkton MD, Craig Rothlein and wife April of Stockton NJ. Sister Jane Zick and husband Gene of Little Egg Harbor NJ, Brother William Horley and wife Barbara of Cumberland RI.
