AGE: 69 • Middletown

Anne M. Mennona, 69, of Middletown, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in New York, NY and lived in Middletown most of her life. Anne worked as a Special Education Teacher for the Middletown Board of Education for 28 years. She was a parishioner of St. Catharine's Church, Holmdel. Anne was very talented at arts and crafts, especially knitting. She also loved baking and cooking. Her holiday meals were especially cherished occasions.

Surviving are her devoted husband of 46 years, Edward Mennona; her two loving sons and daughters-in-law, Edward JR. and Moira Mennona, and Philip and Kristen Mennona, all of Denver, CO. She is also survived by her caring stepmother, Carla Salanitro; her brother, Alfred Salanitro and his wife Teresa; her sister, Francine Kenny and her husband Bob; and her five beloved grandchildren, Johanna, Michael, Dominic, Ava, and Luca. Anne was predeceased by her parents, Anne and Roy Salanitro. Anne also had many extended family members and countless friends. All who were lucky enough to be loved by Anne shall never forget her radiant personality and gererosity of spirit.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 24, 2017 from 7-9 pm and Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 8 am at the funeral home. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 9:15 am at St. Catharine's RC Church, Middletown Rd., Holmdel. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
