Anthony "Tony" Cavallo, Jr.

AGE: 75 • Waretown

Anthony "Tony" Cavallo, Jr., 75 of Greenbriar Oceanaire in Waretown, NJ passed away at home on August 23, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY by his parents Anthony Sr. and Giaconda. Tony proudly served in the US Navy for two years at which time he met his wife Joyce while stationed at Millington Naval Air Station, TN.

He received an Associate Degree from Ocean County College while working as an Instrument Technician for Toms River Chemical. He later went on to work at Oyster Creek Nuclear Power Plant for 18 years until retirement in 1999.

He was a former parishioner of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Toms River, NJ and was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Pines in Manahawkin, NJ.

Tony was adored by his family for his selfless devotion, his ability to make everyone feel uniquely special and for years of countless laughs, pranks and hugs. Tony was a devoted friend who was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Surviving is his loving wife of 54 years, Joyce; his son Anthony III and wife Carolyn of Wellington, Fl; his two daughters Deborah Hopper and husband Lyman, Chris Lockwood and husband Doug, both of Manahawkin, NJ; his brother Ted and wife Maria of Staten Island, NY; his sister Elizabeth Buccellato and husband Al of Toms River, NJ; seven grandchildren: Morgan, Courtney, Sarah, Austin, Collin, Alyssa, and Dylan.

Visitation will be on Monday, August 28, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at The Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd, Toms River, NJ. A Christian Mass will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2017, 10:30 am at St. Mary of the Pines RC Church in Manahawkin, NJ. Committal will be Private at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Tony's memory to , 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Woundedwarriorsproject.org.
