ANTHONY J. GIAMMONA, 92, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 6, 2017. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, and resided there until relocating to Jackson Twp., 10 years ago.

Tony retired from the WNYC Broadcasting Station of the City of New York after 25 years of service.

A proud and decorated World War II veteran, Tony served in the United States Army, earning the Asiatic Pacific Theatre Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star, and the Good Conduct Ribbon.

Tony was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, a member of the Holy Name Society, and a Member of the Men's Club at Four Seasons.

He was predeceased by his Parents, Biagio and Vincenza Giammona; and his Sisters, Millie and Mary. Tony is survived by his loving Wife of 68 years, Connie; his devoted Daughters, Vivian Lombardo and her Husband, Anthony, Madeline Capizzio, and ToniAnn Meyer and her Husband, Thomas; his 6 caring Grandchildren, Vanessa and her Husband Tom, Anthony, Lauren and her Husband Tom, Jenna, Ashley and Brittany; and by his 6 precious Great grandchildren, Franklyn, Thomas, Skylar, Jason, Alexis and Oliver.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation on Monday, January 9, 2017, and Tuesday, January 10, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 8:30 AM on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at the funeral home. His Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:30 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Brig. Gen. William C.
