AGE: 80 • Manchester

Anthony W. Miehle, Jr., 80, passed away on Friday November 3, 2017, at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ. Born in Queens, NY, Anthony lived in Jackson for 19 years before moving to Manchester 22 years ago. He served in the US Army from 1960-1962. Anthony had worked for NY Telephone Co., and the Brooklyn Navy Yard, before working as a technical specialist for Xerox, for 22 years retiring in 1999. He was a parishioner of Saint John's RC Church in Lakehurst, NJ, a former member of the Leisure Knoll Footlighters, volunteer for Leisure Knoll Helping Hands for 17 years and an avid stain glass artist. He was known for "Poppy's World Famous Grilled Cheese".

Anthony is survived by his wife of 53 years Claire (nee Nickels) Miehle, his children Wendy Lubrecht and her husband Chris, Anthony W. Miehle, 3rd and his partner Sharon Ockens and Michael Miehle and his wife Jessica, his grandchildren, Elizabeth, John Lee, Christian, Gabrielle, Anthony, Noel, Jack, Heather, Michaela and Richard, and his sister Patricia Kaiser. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Miehle.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ 08759, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Wednesday November 8, 2017. Funeral service to start at 11:30 am at the funeral home on Thursday November 9, 2017, then to Saint John's RC Church, 619 Chestnut Street, Lakehurst, NJ 08733, where at 12:30 pm, a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered. Burial with Military Honors will be held at the Brig. Gen. WC Doyle Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. To post a tribute please visit www.andersoncampbellmanchester.com.
