Leber, Ardith (nee) Duffy a woman of great faith died peacefully on Saturday, June 17 with her family by her side. Before settling in Fort Lee to raise her family, Ardith was born and raised with her six brothers and sisters in North Bergen with summers happily spent at the Duffy family home in Bay Head. Ardith embraced the opportunity to embark on a career of adventure, beginning at Schlesinger's Men's Clothing in West New York, a Stewardess for American Airlines, a NYC talent manager, and finally putting her studies at Parsons School of Design to work as the Co-Owner of Volk Leber Funeral Homes. Ardith was a longtime parishioner of Madonna RC Church, Fort Lee. She is survived by her beloved husband Dan, her children; Ardith Toomey, Matthew Leber and Jacqueline Leber Soames, and her grandchildren Alexandra, Declan, and Aidan. She was predeceased by her parents Joan and James Duffy, her sister Janet, and brother Kevin. She is also survived by her sisters Celeste Alonzo, Loree Norris, Tara Vermillion Brown, and her brother Lawrence Duffy. Her relationships with her 25 nieces and nephews and her many other family members held a special place in her heart. Family and friends are invited to visit Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9PM at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Rd., Teaneck. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30AM at Madonna Church on Main Street in Fort Lee. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Tenafly.
