Audrey Greybill

Toms River - Audrey Greybill, 80, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on January 22, 2018, at home after a short illness. She was born in Sale, Cheshire, England, to Owen and Mary (Logan) Daly and was the youngest of four children. Audrey was educated in England at Loreto Convent and then trained and qualified as a dental nurse. She immigrated to the United States in 1959. She met the love of her life, Phillip Greybill, in New Rochelle, NY, where he was stationed with the U.S. Marine Corps. They married at St. Gabriel's RC Church in New Rochelle, NY, on October 22, 1960.

Audrey lived in many places due to her husband's military career which included a posting to the Philippines. After retirement from the military, Audrey and Phillip moved to England for several years and then returned to the U.S. and settled in Freehold. Audrey was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima RC Church and was a choir-member. After another short stay in England, Audrey and Phillip moved to Toms River in 2001.

Audrey was absolutely devoted to her husband and he was the main focus of her life. She was a homemaker and loved to cook, bake, and read. She enjoyed gardening and growing vegetables and flowers. She was a communicant at St. Justin the Martyr Roman Catholic Church. Although a private woman, Audrey appreciated the friendships that she made. Although she never forgot the country of her birth, she loved her life and the friends she made in her adopted country.

Audrey was predeceased by her siblings Bernard, Patricia, and John. She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years Phillip and many nieces and nephews who live in the United Kingdom.
