Barbara Ann Lenart Obituary
Barbara Ann Lenart

AGE: 73 • Toms River

Barbara Ann Lenart, 73, Toms River, NJ passed away peacefully at home after a long struggle with cancer on Friday, April 21, 2017.

Barbara was born June 22, 1943 in Staten Island, NY the only child of Melvin Miller and Helen (Rushak) Miller. She went to high school and spent most of her young life in Woodbridge, NJ before moving to Franklin Park, East Brunswick and eventually Toms River, NJ. During her life, Barbara worked in the real estate and restaurant businesses, spending most of the last 20 years working in retail banking in Toms River. She loved spending time with her friends, whether it was trying a new restaurant, going to the theatre, or catching a new movie. She was happiest, though, when surrounded by her family, particularly her six grandsons, whom she was hopelessly smitten with.

Her family will remember her most for the greatest gift she shared with them, her time. She was a two-hour drive from both of her children and their families, but that never stopped her from planning a visit, whether it was a special occasion or simply to spend time with them.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents and leaves behind her son John and his wife Monica of Wallingford, PA, her daughter Jannine (Lenart) Moran and her husband Patrick of Rye, NY and her grandchildren Johnny, Patrick, Jamie, Liam, Kieran and Will.

Her family has chosen to honor Barbara's request and not hold any calling hours. Instead they will hold a private memorial at the ocean to celebrate her life.

In lieu of flowers, her family asks that memorial contributions be made in Barbara's memory to the at
