Lakewood - Carol A. (Hanley) Morrissey, age 82, of Lakewood, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018, at home surrounded by her family. Born in Jersey City on July 7, 1936, she lived in Palisades Park for over 30 years prior to moving to Leisure Village East in Lakewood 17 years ago. She earned her Associates Degree from Bergen County Community College and went on to work as a Financial Advisor for Bankmark in Ridgefield, NJ prior to her retirement. Carol was a parishioner of Church of the Visitation in Brick. She enjoyed reading and watching movies, but most importantly her hobby was her family.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents Joseph P. and Helen (Lyons) Hanley; her husband Robert E. Morrissey Sr.; her sister Judith Ferrara; her brother Joseph (Jay) Hanley; her dear grandson, Christopher Morrissey; and her son-in-law Tom Cranstoun. She is survived by her son, Robert E. Morrissey Jr. and his wife Joan; her daughter Lynn Morrissey; her son Daniel Morrissey Sr. and his wife Regina; six grandchildren, Talysa, Ariana, Nicholas, Cara Lyn, D.J., and Keely, and many friends and relatives.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a viewing on Sunday, September 16, 2018, from 4PM to 8PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Highway 88, Brick. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018, at 10 am at the funeral home, followed by interment at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
