Marlboro Township - Carol Marie Casement, 79, of Marlboro Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Sunrise Assisted Living of Marlboro after losing her battle with Alzheimer's disease. Carol was born on October 5, 1938 to William and Emily Buhlert Jurgens. She grew up in Cambria Heights, Queens, New York and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1956. She married Arthur R. Casement in 1961 and they lived in Woodhaven, Queens, and Levittown, Nassau County prior to moving to Marlboro Township in 1976.

She was a secretary for the Irving Trust Company, New York, New York for over ten years.

Carol was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church, Freehold Township where she sang in the choir. She was a former member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Freehold where she sang in the choir and was head of the Altar Guild. She was also a volunteer at Pinebrook Care Center, Manalapan Township for over 30 years.

She was predeceased by her parents; her daughter, Diane; and her sister Marion Beveridge.

Surviving are her husband, Arthur R. Casement; a sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Joseph W. Jordan; and her nieces, Kimberly Jordan and Pamela Moreno.

Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 A.M. at Hope Lutheran Church, 211 Elton Adelphia Road, Freehold. Interment will follow at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.
