Carolyn Osborne Carpenter, 84, of Ocean Grove passed away surrounded by her four children Wednesday, November 30 at home. She had worked as a Pathology Transcriptionist for Jersey Shore Medical Center before retiring. Carolyn was a talented artist and her portrait of Ronald Reagan is on display and permanently archived at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California. Carolyn served proudly in the United States Navy during the Korean War. She was a member of the Jersey Shore Artist Guild and she sang with the St. Paul's Church Choir and the Ocean Grove Auditorium Choir. Carolyn's great grandfather, John Arnold Osborne donated the corner stone for the Ocean Grove Auditorium. Surviving are her sons Sean Osborne-Lomax and his wife Tracy of Manahawkin, Keith Carpenter of Ocean Grove, Steven Carpenter and his wife Pat of Ocean Township, her daughter Brenda Poland and her husband Steven of Brick. Also five grandchildren, Andrew, Kevin and Daniel Poland and Evan and Tyler Osborne-Lomax.
