Cary James Broderick, 79, of Aberdeen, NJ, passed away on Thursday October 26, 2017, at JFK Medical Center, Edison, NJ. Born and raised in Yonkers, NY to the late Harold and Francis Broderick on November 11, 1937. He was an original parishioner and active member at St. Clements Church where he served as a lector and usher. He was an Eagle Scout, blood donor, organ donor and former member of U.S.M.C Reserves for 8 years. He graduated from Iona Prep and Iona College. He retired from Lucent Technologies in 2000. .He was an avid sports enthusiast who loved to watch Notre Dame football and the NY Mets. play He enjoyed softball and bowling in his younger days as well as helping referee and umpire for his children's sports. Most important to him was spending time with his family especially his sixteen grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Harold and Francis Broderick, as well as two sons James and John Broderick.

Cary leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years Barbara, four sons and daughters in law Thomas and Kathy, Jacksonville, FL, Kevin and Christine, Huntington, PA, Robert and Kristine, Coconut Creek, FL, Joseph and Laurie, Hoboken, NJ , a daughter in law Doreen, Eastampton, NJ , two daughters and sons in law Mary and John Yacubovich, Bordentown, NJ Eileen and Rich Ward, Monroe, NJ , as well as sixteen grandchildren. He also leaves behind a sister Virginia Conlan and her husband James, Scarsdale, NY as well as many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to visit the Waitt Funeral Home on Wednesday November 1, 2017 from 4-8pm. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday November 2, 2017 at St. Clements Church, Matawan, NJ at 11am followed by interment in the St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Marlboro, NJ.
