AGE: 90 • Beach Haven Park, NJ and Jensen Beach, FL.

Catherine A Klaas (Mullane) age 90 of the Beach Haven Park section of Long Beach Township and Jensen Beach, FL., passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017 in Stuart Florida. She was born in Newark and was formerly of Irvington and New Providence. Catherine had worked for Prudential Insurance Company in Newark. She was a former communicant of St. Leo's Parish in Irvington, and participated in Cursillos and was a member of Friends Forever. She was also a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Brant Beach. Catherine organized many neighborhood Fourth of July parades on Lillie Ave on LBI.

Catherine is predeceased by her parents Edward and Fannie (Francischetti) Mullane, her brother and sister in law Edward and Eileen Mullane, her sister in law and brother in law, Madeline and James Mancini, and her niece Susan Mullane.

Surviving Catherine is her husband of 68 years, Henry J. Klaas, "she was the best wife and was my true love". Devoted mother of, Kathleen and her husband Donald Bochicchio, of LBI, Henry Klaas and his wife MaryEllen, of Manahawkin, Edward Klaas and his wife Vicki, of Ambler, PA, Maryann Rieder and her husband Steven, of LBI, Thomas Klaas and his wife Lisa, John Klaas and his wife Jennifer. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Ann and Stuart McGowan. Catherine was at her happiest when she was spending time with her 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Viewing will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 10:30am until time of Funeral Liturgy at 11:30am at St. Francis of Assisi, 4700 Long Beach Blvd., Brant Beach, NJ. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Cedar Run. Arrangements are under the direction of Bugbee- Riggs Funeral Home, 1119 Long Beach Blvd., Ship Bottom. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, P.O. Box 5028, Hagerstown, MD 21741 in Mrs. Klaas' Memory.
