Charles Mooney Obituary
Waretown - Charles Gerard Mooney, of Waretown, NJ, formerly of Jersey City, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the age of 56. He attended Dickinson High School in Jersey City and Ramapo State College. Charles was an avid music fan, a patient fisherman, and a voracious reader. He was also a card carrying Democrat and was happy to discuss politics with everyone. He will be greatly missed.
Charles is predeceased by his parents, Charles Mooney and Joan Borchers Mooney and his sister Elizabeth Mooney. He is survived by his siblings, Patricia Turner, (Walter), Drew Mooney, (Kathy) and Maureen Masson, (Joe); niece and nephew Reagan and Kevin Masson and his beloved caretaker, Rusudan Kishmareishvili.
Visitation will be held at McLaughlin Funeral Home, 625 Pavonia Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07306, on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, from 3 to 7 PM. Family and friends may assemble at the funeral home on Thursday morning at 9 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church in Jersey City at 10 AM.
Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations to www.christopherreeve.org/research in Charles' memory would be appreciated.
