AGE: 81 • Holmdel

Charles Richard Frechette, 81, of Holmdel, NJ died peacefully on Tuesday November 14 at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford, NC where he resided with his wife of 61 years, Virginia Frechette. Charles is survived by Virginia and seven of his eight children, seven grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

Charles was a member of the Holmdel Township planning board for several years, where he helped lay out the foundation of that small town. He was a founding member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Holmdel, and the driving force behind the implementation of the Holmdel First Responders. Charles spent countless hours as an instructor for the volunteers of the squad.

Charles spent much of his career working for Lily Tulip where he was employed as the traffic manager over shipping and receiving. Charles also worked for Anchor Glass in Leonardo, NJ and Bettaway Transportation in South Plainfield, NJ.

Charles retired in 2008 to Sanford, NC where he enjoyed serving in his local church, St. Stephen Catholic Church of Sanford, NC. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered as a man of integrity and generosity.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Monday November 20 at Miller-Boles Funeral Home in Sanford. A prayer service will be held at during the visitation at 7:30 PM. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday November 21 at 11:00 AM at St. Stephen Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Research Center at 2200 West Main Street Suite A230 Durham, NC 27705.
