Christine Ann Baralus-Olsen, age 64, of Lakewood, NJ, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ.

Christine was born in Lakewood on January 30, 1952, and she was a resident of Lakewood for all of her life. She was the daughter of the late Joyce Baralus and Chris Baralus. Christine was a loving and cherished mother, wife, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister and a dear friend to many. Christine was a devoted member of Life Chapel in Pt. Pleasant, New Jersey. She is fondly remembered by many for her love of cooking, home decorating and creative ideas. Christine worked for Cablevision/Optimum in Freehold for over 20 years as a dedicated member of the team.

Sister of the late, James Baralus, Christine is survived by her beloved husband, Stewart H. Olsen, Jr.; her son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Maria Baralus; her grandchildren, Gabriella and Vasilis Baralus; her stepdaughters, Melanie Olsen and her husband Thomas, Stephanie Olsen and her husband Marc; her siblings, William Baralus and his wife Virginia, Sandra Shibilski and her husband Philip, and Susan Bullman and her husband Joseph; along with her niece and many nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Relatives and friends will be received from 4 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Life Chapel, 3118 Bridge Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, 08742.
