Darren Callaghan passed away suddenly at home on April 10, 2017. He was born on April 7, 1990 in Stroudsberg, PA. and soon moved to Denver, PA. In 2008 he graduated from Cocalico High School, Denver. PA. After graduation he moved to Tinton Falls, NJ. He was a young man interested in music and movies. His band "Carnival of Shadows" in which he played bass guitar, made their debut at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park.

He is survived by his father John J. Callaghan, and step-mother Margaret "Peggy" James of Tinton Falls. His mother and step-father Rebecca and Bruce Miller of Denver, PA. A sister Shannon (nee Callaghan) Bustamante and her husband Andy and their children PJ, Juliana & Katherine of Tinton Falls, NJ. Brothers Shawn Miller and William Miller and his fiancé Emily Thomas of Denver, PA. A daughter Amelia Jade Mercantante of Middletown, NJ.

Paternal grandmother Janet Callaghan, Jackson, NJ. Maternal grandmother Ruth Brendle, Mohnton, PA. Grandfather Howard Miller of Elizabethtown, PA, and many aunts, uncles and cousins in NJ and PA.

Darren was pre-deceased by his grandfathers, John Callaghan, Sr., Jimmie Brendle, Colonial Arthur James and grandmothers Phyllis Miller and Margaret S. James.

A memorial service will be held on April 29, 2017 at Christ Church, Episcopal, 380 Sycamore Ave, Shrewsbury, NJ at 11:30 am. A memorial service will also be held at the Gouglersville Fire Co. social hall, Gouglersville, PA on May 19th at 11:00 am. Interment will be at the Wyomissing Cemetery, Gouglersville.
