Born in Brooklyn, NY July 29, 1938. As an adolescent, Dennis would meet his partner for life Mary-Ellen Flynn. Where together they raised their eight children; Raymond Murphy and his wife Michelle, Maureen Grams and husband Stephen, Anne Suarez and husband George, Dennis Murphy and longtime girlfriend Maureen, Rosie DeSimon and husband Michael, Francis Murphy, Eileen Market and husband Stephen, and Tara Murphy. Blessed with thirteen grandchildren; Michael, Tom, Sean, Stephen, Stephen, Bobby, Brian, George, Matthew, Grace, Kaitlyn, Kevin, and Regan. Member of the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh Old Bridge and President in 1978 through 1980, a club that was very near to his heart. Dennis's wit and charm served him well through life and career. He would light up any room he entered, tend bar like a pro, quick witted, charming and even spoke a little Yiddish on occasion.

Mr. Murphy was often found outside sipping a martini, enjoying a cigar, surrounded by friends and family. He enjoyed by sitting on the beach watching the ocean and attending his family's sporting events. He had the ability to make you feel you were the most important person in the room, no matter how crowded.

"Where ever I am, you will always be more than just a memory".
