Edda Tomicich Obituary
Edda Tomicich

Lakewood (recently of Coconut Creek, FL)

Edda Tomicich passed away on May 25, 2017. She arrived in NYC, in 1948 at 11 years old, with her mother Maria, after escaping from a totalitarian country. Leaving everything behind, family, friends, home, possessions. Here she met her father, Miro, a man she last saw when she was 9 months old. Edda adored her parents, and they her.

Edda met the love of her life, Edward A. Tomicich. They married in 1956. Edda and Ed had two beautiful children, Edward and Lisa. Edda and Ed made a good life for themselves and their children.

Edda was a loving devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister. Edda, always put the needs of her family and friends before her own. Her devotion to the teachings of her Roman Catholic faith translated into the love she demonstrated throughout her life. Edda was blessed with physical beauty, which was transcended by her inner beauty and strength. She made friends easily, in fact, people were drawn to her. Whether you just met her or have known her for decades, Edda made a wonderful and lasting impression on all she met.

Edda will be greatly missed by all. I don't want to say that her passing has left a void in us all, instead I'll say that she filled a void in us with, boundless love and joy. Bless you Edda Tomicich for all you've given us.

Edda is survived by her devoted husband Edward, her children, Edward, his wife Debra and Lisa, her partner Elise Passavant, her brother, Jim Diminich, his partner Linda Menefee and her grandchildren Noelle McCloud, her husband Tyler, John and Daniel.
