Edmund (Ed) E. Matejczyk

Sea Bright - Edmund (Ed) E. Matejczyk, 67 of Sea Bright, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 18 at Monmouth Medical Long Branch. Ed was born in Holyhead, Anglesey, North Wales, GB, the Son of the late Peter and Hilda (Ellard) Matejczyk. Raised in Rumson, he graduated from Rumson Fair Haven High School. He was well known in the area for his honesty, reliability and admirable dock building skills.

Ed loved his Chris Craft Dory and going on fishing trips. He enjoyed horse racing, watching the NY Giants and golfing with friends. Ed had a passion for cooking and loved to whip up amazing meals for all.

Ed's kindness and humor will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his surviving family, Brother Peter and Kathy Matejczyk of Keyport, Brother John Matejczyk of Sea Bright, Niece Kimberly and Mark Burdge of Locust, Niece Kristina and Michael Brickle of Navesink,

Nephew Nicholas and Heather Matejczyk of Howell as well as seven Great Nieces and one Great Nephew.

In respect to Ed's wishes, he was cremated. The family has planned a Memorial Service to lift a cold one to his memory. Please bring your memories and stories on Saturday, April 28th at 2PM to the American Legion #143, Bay Avenue, Highlands. The Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, was entrusted with the arrangements.
