Eileen passed away after a brief illness on February 4, 2017 surrounded by her family, at Samaritan Hospice Center Voorhees NJ. Eileen was pre-deceased by her second husband of 41 years Tommy V. Lewis and first husband David H. Yhlen who passed away in 1962. She is pre-deceased by her sisters Kathleen June Farley Lewis and Bernice Marshman and surviving sister Edna McGilly of Secaucus NJ and sister in-laws Margret Lewis of Ft. Lauderdale Fla. and Mary Lewis of Wildwood NJ. Eileen leaves behind her beloved only child David A. Yhlen and his wife Kathleen Flickinger Yhlen of Ocean City NJ, grandchildren Megan Yhlen Seiter (husband James) of Clifton Park NY, Colin Yhlen (wife Victoria) of Bridgewater NJ and Andrew Yhlen (fiancée Kerri Murphy) of Philadelphia PA and great grandson Declan Seiter of Clifton Park NY. She also leaves behind many nieces & nephews. Eileen (McGilly) was born in Harrison NJ, also residing in Neptune City and Mays Landing NJ. She was a retired bookkeeper for Long Branch Public Health Nursing before retiring in 1997. Before retiring she was an active member & past president of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 282 Harrison NJ. She also served as social chairperson for the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary Council 836 and Fourth Degree Msgr. Baldwin of Bricktown NJ.

In retirement, Eileen enjoyed participating and organizing many social events with her many friends at the 55+ community Fairways at Mays Landing NJ including Pinochle, Bingo, Poker, Dinner Dances & Sunday Football Tailgating as well as many trips to the casinos. Family & friends are invited to Boakes Funeral Home 6050 Main Street Mays Landing NJ on Friday February 10, 2017 from 2:00PM - 4:00PM and 7:00PM - 9:00PM as well as church visitation 10am Saturday February 11, 2017 at the Church of Saint Katharine Drexel 6077 West Jersey Avenue Egg Harbor Township NJ followed by a mass of Christian burial at 11am. Burial will be private for family only Monday February 13, 2017 at Holy Cross Cemetery North Arlington NJ.
