AGE: 80 • Brick

Elinor May Searing, 80, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 3, 2014 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. She was born on June 5, 1934 at Paul Kimball Hospital in Lakewood, NJ to Ada May Larsen (Applegate) and Willie Walter Larsen. Elinor was preceded in death by her mother, Ada M. Applegate, stepfather, LeRoy Applegate, father, Willie W. Larsen and stepmother, Cecelia Larsen. Left to treasure her memory are her children, Gail Lynn Roschen of Bricktown, New Jersey, Richard Gary Searing and wife Christina of Boones Mill, Virginia, and Bruce Randy Searing and wife Theresa of Delray Beach, Florida.

She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Rachael Ciccotelli (Steve) Rhonda Roschen, Jessica Graboski (Alex), Matthew Searing, Ashley Searing, Shenley Puterbaugh (Brett), Raegan Searing, Parker Searing, and five great-grandchildren. Elinor will always be remembered by family and friends as a reliable source of inspiration, encouragement and good cheer. She continued to reach out to family, friends and acquaintances through her artwork as well as her timely and gentle advice. She truly was a lover of people as well as animals. It can be said that Elinor never met a stranger, and always had a smile, a laugh and a kind word to all who encountered her.

Visiting will be on Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 3-5pm at O'Brien Funeral Home, Brick. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 10am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bay View Cemetery, Bayville. For more information, please visit
