Elizabeth Hahn Gassman, resident of Long Branch NJ, longtime resident of Chatham NJ passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 surround by her family. She grew up without a mother in Jackson Heights, NY. She attended Marymount in NY. Forty-six years ago, she married William Gassman and had her pride and joy of her three sons, William A. Gassman MBA, CDR Theodore Gassman PE, and Dr. Andrew Gassman. She was an Art teacher in Madison High School. Recently, she was a volunteer art teacher at Sisters Academy in Asbury Park. She loved and was energized teaching the young women and future leaders. She regularly attended the Church of the Precious Blood in Monmouth Beach. She is survived by her devoted husband William Gassman; her sons, William and his wife Nicole and her granddaughters, Stella and Evie; Theodore and his wife Meredith, and Andrew and his wife Joanna and her grandsons, Greyson and Nolan.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 3-8 pm Friday at the Church of the Precious Blood, 72 Riverdale Avenue, Monmouth Beach. Funeral Mass will be offered at 11 am Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Sisters Academy, 1416 Springwood Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ 07712.
