AGE: 69 • Manchester Twp.

Ellen M. Wade, 69, of Pine Lake Park, Manchester Twp. passed away December 29, 2016 at home. Born in Montclair on August 20, 1947, she was the sixth child of the late Benjamin and Margaret (Byrne) Ilgen.

Ellen resided in East Orange before moving to Manchester Twp. in 1975. Ellen graduated Clifford Scott High School in East Orange in 1965. She worked for Monroe Calculator Co. in East Orange before marrying her soulmate and raising her family in Ocean County. Ellen was a parishioner of St. Johns R.C. Church, Lakehurst and was a member of the Flame of Love prayer group at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Toms River. She was a member of the women's auxiliary of the Manchester Fire Co. #1. She actively did many PTA functions and was very involved in her children's education and activities.

Ellen was predeceased by her beloved family members, Nancy Roche, Edward Roche, David Novak, Lisa Ann Roche & Lynette Ilgen. Ellen is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 44 years, Alliston (Bob) Wade, 2 sons, Brian Wade and his wife, Cristin of Robbinsville Twp., Colin Wade and his wife, Annette of Waretown, her daughter, Erin Wade of Manchester Twp., 2 brothers, John and Benjamin Ilgen, both of TX., 2 sisters, Peggy Tuzzeo of Kinnelon, Kathy Novak of Barnegat, 5 grandchildren, Lenora, Evie, Colton, Grace and Emily, her double first cousin, Mary Barth and 16 nieces and nephews.

Visitation 1-5pm Tuesday January 3, 2017 and 8:30-9:30am Wednesday January 4, 2017 at DeGraff Lakehurst Funeral Home, 119 Union Ave., Lakehurst. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am at St. Johns R.C. Church, 619 Chestnut St., Lakehurst with interment to follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.
