AGE: 87 • Allenhurst

Eva Charlotte Polly (Mueller), 87, Allenhurst, NJ, passed away Sept. 10, 2017 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. She was born in Long Branch, NJ. Charlotte graduated Neptune High School in 1949, enjoying sports and many of the ongoing activities. Charlotte went to work one week after graduating high school at Fort Monmouth, attending many classes at various Army schools. She worked the last 10 years before retiring in 1996, at Information Systems Management Activity (ISMA), Fort Monmouth, as a Management Analyst. She loved watching sports with her husband, Mike, cheering for the Giants and the Mets. She also enjoyed yearly Labor Day weekend trips to Pottsville, PA., visits to Lake George, NY., Lancaster County, PA., and spending a couple winter months a year in Daytona Beach, FL. She loved spending time having lunch with friends and going to Atlantic City, entertaining at home and having many dinner parties. She was predeceased by her parents Carl and Eva Mueller, sister Elvera, and loving husband Michael. Surviving are her son Michael C. Polly of Franklin, MA; daughter Kim and husband Michael Bevel of Allenhurst, NJ; three grandchildren Michael R. Polly of Franklin, MA., Melissa and husband Brian Hunte of West Haven, CT., Allison and husband Alex Cotto of Lake Forest, CA.; step brother Richard Fisher of Tinton Falls, NJ; sister-in-law Marie Donahue of Sharon, VT.; and four nephews. An 11am funeral mass will be held Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch, NJ. Interment will follow at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Allenhurst Fire Dept. and First Aid Squad. Francioni, Taylor & Lopez Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
