Fannie Hunter

Whiting - Fannie Eva Hunter (nee Young), of Crestwood 5 in Whiting, passed away on December 19, 2017. Mrs. Hunter was born in Camden and went to Merchantville High School where she met her husband who she was married to for 47 years prior to his passing in 1997. She lived in Waretown for many years volunteering at the elementary school there and later working as a teachers aide. Mrs. Hunter was a member of The and in years passed had enjoyed teaching Primary. Mrs. Hunter will be remembered as a loving and supportive mother, grandmother and great-grand mother. Above all else she loved being with the children in her family.

Mrs. Hunter was predeceased by her husband Frederick Hunter and her daughter Coleen Kimberly MacAvoy.

She is survived by her stepmother Pat Young, her sister Dottie Mae, son Frederick J. Hunter and his wife, Leslie and her daughter Lisa Randall and her husband Miles, along with 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be offered on Thursday, December 28,2017 from 9:30am until the time of service at 11:30 at Riggs Funeral Home, 130 North Rt.9, Forked River, NJ 08731. Burial will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park in Waretown.
