Florence (Van Glahn) Franklin, 94, wife of the late George Franklin of Goffstown, NH (formerly of Port Monmouth, NJ) passed away Tuesday January 10, 2017 at home. Born on July 20, 1922, in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Robert Van Glahn and Margaret Eckhardt.

Florence lived most of her life in Port Monmouth, NJ where she and George raised a son, Albert, and daughter, Beverly. She was a loyal employee of Sears in Middletown, NJ for 20 years. She enjoyed 10 pin bowling and attending Bingo with her husband of 67 years. In 1995, she moved with her husband to Edgewater, FL. In 2006, they moved to Goffstown to be closer to her children and their families. Always adept at crocheting, she sold numerous handmade items on the artisan website, Etsy. She also crocheted baby articles of clothing for friends and relatives, both distant and near.

Florence is survived by her son, Albert Franklin and his wife Madeleine of Goffstown, NH; son-in-law, René Hallmark of Hollis, NH; four grandchildren, David Franklin of Hopkinton, MA, Gregory Franklin of Merrimack, NH, Christine (Hallmark) Caron of Goffstown, NH, and Stephen Hallmark of Hollis, NH; and eight great-grandchildren whom she adored and who all referred to her affectionately as "Nana". In addition to her husband George, she was predeceased by her daughter, Beverly Hallmark, and brothers, Walter, Edward, Harold & Robert Van Glahn.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her Visitation will be held in the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, on Monday, January 16 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. followed by the Rite of Christian Burial at 12:00 P.M. Interment will be on Tuesday, January 17 at 11:00 A.M. at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 100 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen to join her husband, a Navy veteran of WWII.
