The shock of Fiddle's passing still resounds in my heart today a year later, as I know it will for the rest of my life..During the years of our early friendship we shared many fun evenings at the theatre or concerts and delicious meals at various eateries around town.
One fun evening in an Italian restaurant that we visited so long ago on her special birthday in December is especially memorable. It was late after an evening when we had enjoyed a good play in the theatre district and were surprised that a place was still serving..We ordered drinks and I mentioned that it was my friend's birthday and wanted something special....and the waiter went viral congratulating her and invited her to have whatever she wanted ...as much as she could eat.I don't need to go into details... but.. let's just say
our Lady of The Frogs seized the moment ...They kept bringing out plate after plate. I was amazed..and YES we did leave with a doggie bag while the staff sang "Happy Birthday"...OMG Only in New York

Sadly those golden days faded away as I became very busy...we stayed in touch...and as the whips and scorns of time took their toll on our health...our visits were restricted to Emails and phone calls.

The one thing I remember about Fiddle was her unique passion for life...even while so bravely surmounting the terrible medical obstacles she endured....I now fill the vacancy she left in my life with the remembrance of that passion........I'm so sure she's in a Special Place now. God Bless !!

I am sad.
But I will not weep for this remarkably brave trooper. In recent years, Like so many other friends my visits with her were limited to phone calls - where we spoke of the terrible challenges she faced especially in finding medical attention.
Well that sorrow is over and, since we both strongly believe in life after death.
I will continue to pray for her transition..as I have included her in my prayers to Saint Therese almost every day for the last several years.
Now they will meet .
The beauty that she harbored in that great heart of hers while fighting the challenges can now be realized with the joy and love she so richly deserves. I'll always think of you with love.

GOD BLESS YOU FIDDLE

My dear, dear friend, Fiddle -
You gave so much to so many. You were one of the most supportive friends in my life. After every phone call, you would say, "Remember how talented, how gifted you are, Alice" Thank you, Fiddle. You were so gifted, too, and I'm hoping your FROG book will be published!
I wish I had done more for you these past couple of years. An occasional phone call didn't quite make it, did it? I am missing you and will continue missing you, until we meet again, dear Fiddle! I hope you are being embraced by the greatest love of all. I'm sure you are!

I love you,
Alice
