Jackson - Frances E. Clayton, 86, of Jackson, formerly of Keyport, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018. Beloved wife of 63 years of the late George W. Clayton. Loving mother of George (Ellen) Clayton, Ellen Clayton, Anna (Keith McClain) Clayton, Ralph Clayton, Theresa (John Veisz) Clayton and the late John Clayton. Devoted grandmother of Greta, Gregory, Kenneth, Frances, Edward, Raymond, Keriann, Eric, Stephen, Kristen, Erin, Thomas, Reagan, Erica and the late Kristilyn. Cherished great-grandmother of Rebecca, Andrew, Nate, Theodore, Abigail, James, Mackenzie, Baby Branch, Ava, Alivia, David, Nicholas, Bryan, Logan, Anthony, Kadance, Lelia and many extended step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Caring sister of Anna Mae Button, Phyllis De Biase and the late Helen Travers and Charlotte Guerin and loving sister-in-law and best friend of Georgia Clayton. A long-time resident of Keyport, Frances was active in the community, especially with Keyport First Aid and Keyport Police Department as a Crossing Guard. In her many years in Jackson, she was a devoted member of the Jackson United Methodist Church and served with the Jackson First Aid, including as their Chaplain, remaining as a life-member. Family and friends may visit Thursday, February 1st, from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Bedle Funeral Home, 61 Broad Street, Keyport. A Funeral Service will commence Friday, February 2nd at 10:30am at the funeral home, followed by interment at Shoreland Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hazlet. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frances' memory to the Veterans Memorial Garden, Inc., PO Box 1499, Jackson, NJ 08527 or to the Jackson United Methodist Church, 68 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson, NJ 08527.
