AGE: 82 • Manchester

Frances M. Sauta ("Woodsie"), 82, of Manchester, passed peacefully on Saturday, May 27, 2017. Born in Neptune, NJ, she grew up in Bradley Beach, and resided in Shark River Hills and Bradley Beach for many years before moving to Manchester. She was a very devoted to her family and friends.

Fran graduated Asbury Park High School in 1953 and Kean College "Summa Cum Laude". For over 25 years, she had an exceptional teaching career at Neptune Middle School. In 1995, she was voted "Teacher of the Year". She embarked on her second career at Bradley Beach Municipal Offices as a Court Clerk, Planning Board & Board of Adjustment Secretary, Tourism Secretary and Memorial Day Committee Secretary. She loved her job in Bradley Beach as well as the many coworkers and friends she met along the way.

Fran was a life-long member of Ascension Church, Bradley Beach. She was a CCD Teacher for many years at St. Luke's Church, Toms River. She enjoyed reading and joined the local "Book Club". She loved to travel to different countries with her closest, dearest friends, as well as trips to Georgia, Florida and California. She traveled with her family on her 75th and 80th Birthday to Florida and Punta Cana. She also loved bus trips with friends to see NYC Broadway Plays.

Fran was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Edna Santanello, her sister Betty Oliveto and her two brothers Jim and Frank Santanello. She is survived by her brother Joe Santanello and his wife Barbara. She will be deeply missed by her three children, her son Anthony T. Sauta and Theresa of Wall; her son, Stephen Sauta (Go Chiefs!) and Shannon of Toms River; and her daughter Dianne Donato of Forked River. Three cherished grandchildren, Brittany Sauta of Wall; Jessica and Nicholas Donato of Forked River as well as many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Church of the Ascension, Bradley Beach, NJ, on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at 5:00pm followed by a "Celebration of Life" at 6:30pm at South Wall Banquet Facility, 2605 Atlantic Avenue, Wall Township, NJ.
