Francis D. Clarke, of Neptune, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, in Lahaina, HI, where he was currently residing. He was born in Staten Island, NY, in 1948 and served in the U. S. Air Force for 4 years from 1967 - 1971. He is predeceased by his parents, James Clarke who served in the U.S. Air Force and Evelyn M. Clarke, who joined the British Royal Air Force during World War II and his family lived at various bases throughout the United States, Okinawa, Japan, and England. He was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Atonement in Asbury Park. He was an electronic technician and web page designer and later worked as a dispatcher for Middlebrook at Monmouth in Ocean and was currently working at Prison Street Pizzeria owned by his brother Charles in Lahaina, HI. Frank was a kind and happy soul and loved to party as all of his family and friends can attest to.

He is survived by his wife, Janet, stepson, Jeffrey Letts and his wife Rose, stepdaughter, Denise Vella and her husband, Greg and his 5 siblings, Mary Anne Berardi and her husband Lou, Rozella Hoopes, Gwen Foster and her husband Ed, Elizabeth Sebastian and her husband Peter, and Charles Clarke and his wife Miriam, as well as 2 step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be sorely missed by family members and friends. All are invited to a memorial service at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Atonement, First and Heck Avenues, Asbury Park, NJ, on Monday, December 19, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the or any other charity or foundation of your choice.
