AGE: 62 • Matawan

George Edward "Skip" Thrall, 62, of Matawan, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017, at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Rhinebeck, NY, and had spent eight years in Largo Florida before moving to Matawan 29 years ago. Before his retirement he worked for Anheuser-Busch for 28 years. Skip enjoyed traveling and was able to both travel around the world, as well, as in the United States. He loved spending time at the beach, and his favorite spot was Pier village, formally Long Branch Beach. His family described him, as a hard worker and someone, who was devoted to his family. Aside from liking historical sites, he developed a new found passion for hiking in various areas that contained waterfalls. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of those, who knew him. He was predeceased by his wife of 34 years Anna Patricia "Patty" Thrall, a daughter Angela Thrall, his mother Elizabeth Ann Thrall, and a brother William Thrall. He leaves behind his son and daughter-in-law Dr. Louis and Jena Thrall, two daughters Elizabeth Catherine Thrall and Laura Kristen Thrall, two sisters Mary Carter and Marguerite Gibson and a brother John Thrall. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 2 PM to 6 PM at Waitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 501 Highway 79, Morganville, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 10AM to 11 AM at the funeral home and a funeral service will take place at 11 AM followed by interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport.
