Wall Township - George James Brogan, 74 of Wall Township, passed away peacefully on March 22nd, at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. George was a graduate of St. Peter's Prep and College (BS),William Patterson (MA) and Seton Hall University Law School (JD). A Wall Street Journal Scholarship winner, he began his career in journalism evolving to Public Relations Director for both Volvo and Pioneer. Once graduating from law school, Pioneer made him their corporate attorney. George eventually went into private practice but found his love of law mostly in litigation and arbitration.

A Jersey City native, he migrated his family to the shore in 1983; living in Spring Lake, Belmar and Avon before settling in Wall 8 years ago.

George is predeceased by his parents, John J Brogan and Catherine Delaney Brogan. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Eileen Mulcahy Brogan, his daughter Jacqueline Brogan and her beloved Marc of New York City, his son Robert F Brogan Esq. and his wife Jennifer of Point Pleasant, his daughter Carrianne Brookins and her husband Paul of Wall, his brother Joseph Brogan and his wife Noreen of Belmar, his 8 grandchildren: Thomas, Mary, Sean, Maggie,Colleen, Kelly, Bobby and Nora Brogan and 4 step grand children: Tye, PJ, Alisha and Lorisa, 10 nephew/nieces and their spouces, his cousins, his St. Peter's crew and countless family and friends, all of whom he loved very dearly.

He loved the NY Giants, cooking "super duper" breakfasts, playing the drums and planting vegetables in his garden. He will be missed more than he will ever realize.

Visitation will be on Tuesday March 27 from 4 to 8PM at the Reilly Bonner Funeral Home, 891 DStreet , Belmar NJ. A funeral mass will be offered on Wednesday at 10:30Am at Saint Rose of Lima RC Church, 601 Seventh Ave. Belmar. Committal will be held privately.
